Time is ticking and OJStat will never stop growing, especially at such a young age. Currently, the circulating OJStat is OJStat version 1.1 (stable) which is starting to get attention from OJS-based journal managers. While using OJStat version 1.1 (stable), please read the article about OJStat version 1.2 which is on its way to the download page.

What is new in OJStat version 1.2?

Isn't that the question that comes to your mind? Alright, I'm going to review some of the changes and functionality improvements in OJStat version 1.2 but I'm not going to divulge the big secret.

OJStat version 1.2 develops in two aspects, namely appearance and function. In appearance, OJStat version 1.2 has a background image that spoils your eyes so you will not get bored working with OJStat. In addition, on the OJStat dashboard page you can access information on the OJStat version both installed and available on the OJStat server.

OJStat version 1.2 gives you the flexibility to set things up via JSON files contained in the OJStat folder. In addition, journals that have been indexed by CiteFactor and Moraref can also display ranking information on the metrics page. What's even more powerful than that is that journals that have been registered with Scimago can now display their metric information.

For users of previous versions of OJStat who complained about the loss of the database file needed to display the online visitor widget, there is no need to manually create a database file (.db) because OJStat will automatically create it when the user checks the file through the OJStat dashboard.

The core OJStat files are organized more neatly than before and that results in increased performance and decreased file size. OJStat version 1.2 is definitely more interactive, responsive and loads faster in browsers.
